Scent Curation for Wellness & Local Makers
Hamin / Jung· I am currently the CEO of WellthyKorea and the operator of the AromaPulse brand, where I am developing a wellness-based commerce model that connects scent, emotion, and data. From an early age, I was naturally exposed to the process of how products are manufactured, distributed, and delivered to customers through my family’s manufacturing business environment. In addition, by operating online stores myself, I gained hands-on experience in manufacturing, distribution, customer service, and brand operations. Being exposed to the cosmetics materials and beauty-related industry also led me to develop a strong interest in how products and brands connect with consumer experiences. These experiences became the foundation for designing services that combine scent, emotional data, and personalized customer experiences. Over time, I gained diverse real-world experience through preparing for the police officer exam, working in legal and administrative support roles, participating in security and protection-related fields, and contributing to startup operations. These experiences helped me develop consistency, structured communication skills, operational thinking, adaptability in the field, and a deeper understanding of people and organizations. Currently, I am building a data-driven scent curation commerce platform that goes beyond simply selling products. The platform focuses on providing personalized scent experiences based on customers’ emotional states, lifestyle patterns, fragrance preferences, and stress-response data. At the same time, I am working on connecting local fragrance workshops and small-scale manufacturers — many of whom have limited online presence — with consumers, helping skilled makers and independent brands reach broader audiences through branding and distribution support. As part of this journey, I directly experienced the entire OEM production process for AromaPulse’s first fabric perfume product, including product planning, sample development, scent adjustment, packaging configuration, and mass production. The product is currently being validated through a live crowdfunding campaign, where we are testing real market reactions and collecting customer feedback data. To support this vision, I continue experimenting with SNS sentiment analysis, survey-based customer data collection, emotion and preference-based curation, content branding, community building, and AI-powered recommendation systems — all with the goal of building a sustainable fragrance wellness brand that combines wellness, technology, and emotional experiences.
